I found in the Inspiration program that it kind of reminds me of Adobe Photoshop in the sense that you have all these ways of creating what you want to see and use. The options on this program are very detailed and looks to be very useful. The program looked colorful so where it will catch your eye...perfect for use in the classroom. It would be a great tool for brainstorming or showing students how to brainstorm effectively and how to keep them in order and you don't have to worry about mistakes like writing down on paper would. The way you can transfer a document is amazing because it is so easy to use.
You could do a writing activity that involved brainstorming for topics on an english paper. Once you come up with an idea you can just type it in to one of the boxes and link up other subjects you could write about. There was a good example on the website that showed a diagram of MacBeth and a word that was associated with the story. Students could blog about there ideas and share these ideas outside of the classroom when they want to...so that would be a good way of stretching a class period. You as a teacher can use the program to see how the students are doing and to make sure they are on the right track.
